SignalyteTM-II

SignalyteTM-II is an ultra-sensitive fluorescence detection instrument that is up to 1000 times more sensitive than a fluorescent plate reader.

Applications

SignalyteTM-II can be used for medical diagnostics for detecting proteins, bacteria, viruses, toxins, disease and drugs in saliva, urine, breath, sweat, blood, food, water and environmental samples.  The instruments can also be used to identify DNA and RNA.

Sample Holder

Sealed capillary tubes hold the samples, which can be up to 35 µl. Sealed tubes provide safety and easy storage. Eight samples, plus a reference, are tested in about one minute.

Immunoassay Example

Many immunoassays use magnetic beads to concentrate and remove target analyte from the matrix. Creatv employs this method in its test kit for E. coli O157:H7. The detection limit is 10 cfu/ml using SignalyeTM-II to read the fluorescence signal. This magnetic bead protocol can be applied to many other analytes.
